These things take time. Look at the Seditionist trials and they are small fry. Going after a President means having one's ducks all in a row; all the i's dotted and all the t's crossed. They are getting there. The Georgia investigation seems to be the farthest ahead.

IMO, one reason Trump is running again is for protection from legal disputes. He'll claim "fake charges" and that the only reason they are after him is because he's running. The truth being he's running because they will probably be charging him.

You might recall the psychotic skank here known as Pointgold/Life is Golden/Mint Julep/Trump Diva? That is exactly why she wanted to have his baby. She fell under his thrall and saw him as some glorious Fuehrer-type strong man who would magically solve all of our [imaginary] problems. He was rich and wanted you to be rich too! He was tough on crime! Pro-military [but not pro-vet 'cause those guys are losers]!

He punched back when the media reported on his various crimes! His bullying was seen as strength. His whining at everyone being so UNFAIR was seen as a justified attack on the "liberal media." His racism was seen as just what we need. Minty, sadly, has millions of other nasty weaklings like herself who worship Trump.

Ryan is an insider. He knows what's coming down the pike for Trump.

Trump thinks his MAGAt followers will save him, but a bunch of poorly educated whackos will only be able to make a little noise. The Republican leaders will mostly stay out of the way when the time comes. A few of the nutjobs like MTG will make some noise, but in the end, even they will fold.

Convicting and jailing the corrupt POS is the only way Ryan's dream of his party returning to sanity is going to happen. Have you noticed how many of the forum MAGATs have turned to DeSantis as their next hope for a bigot in the WH? He lacks the charisma and sales acumen of a Trump though. I just don't see his brand of nasty selling nationwide, do you?

DeSantis will beat Trump in the primaries, although I still have hope for Nikki. Agreed that the brand of autocratic bigotry that Ron is selling won't translate into nationwide support.

There's a very brief but excruciating sensation at impact, I believe.
And the short trip down isn't a cruise in the Mediterranean either, I would bet.
If it ever came to that, Oom, I'd probably choose a different approach..

In that case, it's painless. Higher is better. A fall from a 7-story building is 90% survivable, but the brain damage may prevent any sensation of pain. 10-story falls are fatal due to the acceleration due to gravity and the limitations of the human body. A 10-story fall would be about a 3 second "flight". Best to swan dive. The body follows the head, so look "up" relative to the body but down at the ground to ensure maximum speed for impact at a speed approaching 90MPH.

While the body may survive a shorter fall, the brain is like a raw egg inside a bone box. Slam it against the wall and it will still shatter even though the bone box survives. You'd become a vegetable. A friend of mine lived for a few hours after a midair resulting in the aircraft impacting the ground inverted at about 80-90G's. The student was killed instantly since it took his head off, but Bruce was intact. The helo arrived and he was cut out of the wreckage. His heart was still beating and he was still breathing since the Medulla controls those functions, IIRC. He died on the flight to NAS Pensacola. During the investigation, the medical officer reported Bruce would not have had any higher brain function due to the Gs on impact.
