RIP Matthew Perry

...Still, his problems are over now.
The process of dying can be uncomfortable and undignified, true enough.
Being dead, however, is the perfect peace of nonexistence.
He was only 54. Death is easy, living is hard. He could have sat around on his fat behind and bitched for another 23 years sucking the air out of the room to catch up to you, neef.

Or he could have worked with children, started a comedy workshop, any number of things. He was worth over $100M. He could give away $2M/year and not lived long enough to give it all away.

While he clearly had a number of psychological problems, especially addiction, he had the wealth to get treatment, even if that treatment was marooning himself on an island. Instead, he seems to have chosen suicide...if depression and addiction are seen as a free will choice which I do not. I see them as mental illness.

Vicodin, I believe, is hydrocodone.
That shit is pablum for lightweights.
Instead of taking fifty of them, he should have taken one or two of something that actually helps.

This is random but I watched wrestling for a few years when I was a kid. Years later read about a number of them dying early because they totally abused their body with steroids and drugs.

Of course people like Keith Richards exist, but generally speaking that type of lifestyle is not conducive to a long life.

I never really watched Friends but my wife loved the show and was shook up by his death.

Don’t know if accurate but read at one point he was taking over 50 Vicodin a day. You abuse you body for years like he did and this result is not surprising. Really talented guy who had a lot of inner struggles. Sad.

When I worked in an ER I treated a patient that took a full 160 pill Lorcet 10/650 prescription in one day. That is 104,000 mg of Tylenol . The hydrocodone did not kill him but the Tylenol fried his liver and he died a couple of weeks later from liver failure. That isn't a pretty way to go. For reference 13,000 mg is potentially lethal.

Vicodin 10/300 is a favorite of druggies 50 tables is 15,000 mg of tylenol can be lethal.

Nah he drowned in his hot tub.

....after a heart attack? It's possible. He health sucked after years of drug abuse.

Still, I'm thinking suicide, even if it's drinking too much in a hot tub and passing out, is more likely.

Really?
I see them as none of our business.

But you're quicker to judgement about things not of your concern than am I.
In any case, Matthew Perry is dead and you're in Texas.
I don't think that I even have to finish that thought.

Yet, here you are on this thread whining about it.

Also, you didn't turn cranky until I called you on your whiny bullshit, neef. :)

Nibbie getting up on Perry's business.

Opiates are ok. Acetaminophen / paracetamol will get you every time. I hate that shit.

The way you call me, Oom, is from a very long distance.

Grab a pitchfork, go stand next to some old broad as ugly as yourself, reanimate Grant Wood, and have him paint your portrait.
Let the rest of the world see you as I do.

I had a woman that OD'd on Ultacet a pretty benin pain reliever. But it contains 325mg of Tylenol. She OD'd twice one week part she damaged her liver the first time but not fatally. She was hospitalize 5 days. The next weekend she did it again. This time her liver was already compromised and it fried her liver. I asked her why she OD'd. She said she was depressed because her iguana died. :palm: She died about two weeks later. Again liver failure is a bad way to die. Opiates are the most fatally abused drug however. I saw a few fatalities on fentanyl and on heroin. At least they go peacefully and quickly.

I don't really understand that, a normal paracetamol dose is 500 mg and you are advised to not take more than four in a day.

I cant say why he died right now, let me get the toxicology report and that might change is basically what the coroner said.

No shit, neef. I see you are still able to read a map. Kudos!

I wouldn't mind being the middle one. I always had a crush on Patricia Quinn. Susan Sarandon was really hot too.
