Romney apologizes

Not true. There are pet-friendly flights.

I'm not a fan of pets being transported in the cargo hold of the plane. But it's better than the roof of a car.

i wasn't aware of any commercial flights that allow pets...can you name these airlines?

are you sure it was because of the trip or what he ate? iirc...the dog ate turkey and had the runs. i had a dog eat some food and throw inside our car when i was kid. don't think the roof had anything to do with it....the dog would have gotten sick from the motion or the food on top or in the car.

i wouldn't do it, but how is it callous? is it more callous than putting a dog in the cargo hold of airplane? or what about a kennel?

Of course it's callous. It's frightening, windy, loud - and it was reported to be very cold on that trip as well.

Yes, much worse than the cargo hold of an airplane. Although, as I said, I'm no fan of that mode of travel for pets either.

I find it amazing that the Democrats have so little to blame on Romney that they have to drag up what he did in high school.......has the media ever asked where Obama went to high school, let alone what he did during recess?......

Yeah - that's all they have to say about Romney.

Do you read the news?

Hilarious pumping a fake birth certificate is ok, questions wether he was a serial bulkier is not. Sounds to me like Romney didnt get his ass kicked at a Young enough age. Granted bullying in the 1940's was much more acceptable.

I love the non-apology "apology." The whole "if anyone was offended" thing is insane. I'm sure the kid you tormented was offended, asshole.

in all seriousness...the b/c issue is a constitutional matter. being a bully is not.

Well at least the dog survived, unlike Obama the dog eater.

lol...now it is "tormented"

perhaps we should dig up a fight obama got in at school at accuse him of aggravated battery

A kid killed herself this week because she was bulllied.

Held down and hair cut off? Yeah - I think tormented is okay. You're a loser, Yurt.

I recall when Obama was being mentored by a man who used to blow up police stations you couldn't get the media to check into whether he was just some guy in Obama's neighborhood.....but apparently the media has time to track down five of the people Romney hung out with in high school to check what he did during recess........

getting your cut off....bullying, yeah, absolutely. torment...not quite. this is yet just another diminishing of words in our society...comparing people to hitler...war on this or that...etc...

i suggest people who call cutting someone's hair off torment, to look up the word torment and consider carefully what actual torment is.

Yeah - that guy was hardly mentioned in the news.

Good call.

And we have to put up with another 6 months of this shit. It's beginning to look like a race to the bottom with these two losers.

Mitt Romney apologized Thursday for what he described as "hijinks and pranks during high school," in response to a newspaper story that claimed he and other students pinned down a classmate and cut off his hair back in 1965.

The individual involved was gay, according to the Washington Post story, and was sporting bleached blond hair at the time.

Romney, though, told Fox News Radio Thursday he doesn't recall that specific incident, and certainly did not know the student was gay.

"I don't remember that incident," he said. "And I'll tell you I certainly don't believe that I ... thought the fellow was homosexual. That was the furthest thing from our minds back in the 1960s, so that was not the case."

But he acknowledged playing pranks and teasing other students, and apologized for those that went "too far" -- while noting he is "a very different person" now.

"Back in high school, you know, I did some dumb things and if anybody was hurt by that or offended, obviously I apologize," Romney said.

good enough?

no, was there anything about the 'nice girl' routine he pulled on another male student

this was years ago, but united airlines allowed us to take our cat in the cabin in a cat carrier and take him out from time to time to pet and allowed others in cabin to bet him

This is pathetic. Just goes to show how desperate the left is becoming. However, I do believe this last-ditch effort of making this election about gay rights will ultimately fail. Obama has mastered the art of distraction, but as Romney said, this election is still about the economy and we're not stupid.
