lol in Massachusetts I live in a valley area that is prime location for growing because of the conditions. They created a task force for tackling the problem.

Illicit marijuana farms on public land, are a threat to public safety. At least in california. Some of these farms are booby-trapped by the drug cartels that planted them, and are sometimes guarded by armed men who will shoot trespassers.

If someone wants to grow marijuana peacefully and legally on their own property, I have no problem with that. I don't want to be hiking on public property in Yosemite National Park, and step into a booby trap on some drug cartel's marijuan farm.

In most places it would never get you jail unless you had an incredible amount of it. Most places you would get a ticket for a minor misdemeanor.

If you are convicted in Florida you AUTOMATICALLY loose your Drivers Liscense for 2 years for ANY amount of marijuana.

All the conservo politicians that pay lip service to federalism and letting the states decide are the first to support the DEA going in and arresting state employees who are doing no more than carrying out their state's law. Republican law makers are ONLY in favor of federalism when the state is passing laws to enforce the biological authoritarian imperative or to stop those queers from getting married, but when a state passes a law which would allows AIDS and Cancer patients to get her appetite back, or a glaucoma patient to relieve some pressure, then the States MUST BE REIGNED IN.
