Anyway, PR is the only territory with the level of population that justifies seriously moving toward statehood. Guam, the US Virgin Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the Marshall Islands are all miniscule by comparison.

If I am not mistaken, didn't Santorum also talk about statehood for PR? Although I recall he told them they had to learn english first. I missed that part of the requirements.

I am for PR being a state regardless of if it benefits them or not. It would benefit the USA and so I am for it. They should not get the protection without the responsability.
