Romney's backroom deal with MIGOP

He is ambitious for power and will do anything to get it. And he does, for it is he who emerges triumphant from the smoke-filled room as the nominee of the party bosses. He stands straight and tall, like a knight in shining armor. He is a born leader who inspires trust and confidence. He looks you, man to man, in the eye. He canvasses his constituency; he takes part in caucuses; he is the guest of honor at the party-sponsored Bar-B-Q. He travels around giving stump speeches, shaking hands and kissing babies. He is for motherhood, the flag and apple pie. He smiles and waives at his adoring public from the speaker’s platform. He is everyone’s hometown boy and his state’s favorite son - a true all-American.

Mitt Romney: He is the one.
 
Isn't there some confusion over which state's favorite son he is?
 
Seems not.

That would suit the average Republican voter fine, according to multimillionaire Mittzie's to aide.

Admittedly, it will be a tough act for a millionaire; because to win a politician must be popular. People like those who they perceive are like themselves. Most people are bigoted, stupid and vulgar; and so to be popular, a politician should eschew all cultural refinement as snobbish and elitist, and make himself a perfect philistine. His should be the hardy handshake and backslapping comradery among the masses; and it would be helpful to be at least proficient in kissing ugly babies. But, not to worry, Mitt Romney will muddle through.
