Populism still isn't a stone's throw from totalitarianism though. It's just the ugly label internationalist fascists give to people who believe government shouldn't be wholly controlled by multinational corporations. It's not socialism, it's not communism, it's just NOT being an asshole who wants to destroy the middle class based on bogus "free trade raises all ships always" arguments.
