For the record growing up with an alcohilic dad with extreme anger issues and a mother with several screws loose was no picnic. I say that a vast majority of my privoledged life comes from a certified genius workaholic falling in love with me in 1985. She had the career, I had jobs, and I was a full time stay at home dad for ten years.

Rosewood is in Levy County. A friend of mine was down there as part of the planning for a possible nuclear power plants. He said it was a nightmare of old style southern racism.

Part of the reason that the plant was cancelled was a fear that Jews would move into the county. The Levy that the county is named after is Jewish, but that is a fact, and people in the swamps of Florida do not care about facts.

My friend was told that he would have to tell the county police before anyone from out of state tried to enter the county. Yes, this seems unconstitutional, but it is a small rural county, so they do not have much use for the Constitution.

11% of the population was Black. He rarely saw the Blacks, and his local minders seemed to scare away the Blacks he tried to talk to. He was told that any Black owned land the power company wanted would be given for free.
