Uh, nobody believes evolution "created" anything. Evolution is descent with modification from a common ancestor; it has nothing to do with how the Earth was formed (by gravity) or how non-living matter gave rise to life (abiogenesis). No true scientist claims to know how life came into existence. Although there are theories on the subject, and various tests have produced interesting results, it is probably unknowable. Even devout Christian scientists would say that they have faith that God is the ultimate designer, but they wouldn't claim to know it. In fact, even the Bible doesn't make any such claim. Hebrews 11 comes to mind.

If you do know the answer (and you have evidence to support it), the floor is yours.

the creation of the universe.....we simply don't know how it came to be and theres no shame in admitting that fact....as Rubio did......nor is there
any reason to hide from others the beliefs of religious people....it hurts no one to be informed......
In my opinion, its far better to know and be expossed to what other cultures believe than to remain an ignorant and narrow-minded hack.
 
The ignorant who ridicule their opponents reveal their weakness and fear. We now have an ignorant majority voting. The conservatives need to get out and educate people if they want their votes. Either that or remove the Department of Education from Fed control.

Can you show us from your OP what makes Rubio a "Religious Zealot". Personally, I think you're using religion as an excuse to demonize a politician you disagree with. Do you honestly believe that is what good Americans do?

Look Jarod, I know you're already prepping for the 2016 election and all, but Rubio is not a religious zealot. He clearly said that he isn't qualified to answer the question - that he doesn't know the answer. That's a huge step away from what many religious Republicans believe, and demonstrates open-mindedness.

The part about "teaching both sides" concerns me, but Rubio obviously isn't a zealot.

they are going to have to visit reality one day, i get the nuance, but the Repubs are doomed to be a minority party, until they dump the intrusion on social issues, and the Bible as as political.

I got a feeling they can't - the demographics are setting in for good this time.

I agree what Rubio said was progress and represents the start of the Republicans step into the 19th century, but its still WRONG. To give Religous Parables the same creedance as a scientific theory is silly and teaches our children the wrong message.

I belive God created the world, I simply dont belive that should be taught in school, unless its a religous studies class or a class on religous writings, it should not be taught as human knoledge.
