russian troops sent to 'protect' syria

Yeah, sure started a war when we aided Afghanistan. Or Lately with the Georgians. Just look at all the war with Russia we have.

on the other hand, if the un or nato did it...we could say they just got in the way...sort of

?????......and do you suspect any attempt to get the UN to do it would get past the Security Council?......
 
Russia is on the security council, they could veto anything without even needing help. They'd be in the same situation the US was in with Iraq, the UN has no power to stop a large country, because most large countries run the UN.

It's become a fig leaf to hide behind, saying its the will of the UN, while you do whatever you wanted to do in the first place.
