As it is right now, the SDF controls Syrian lands east of the Euphrates. They're the ones, along with the US allies, that defeated ISIS in that area. They want to be a part of Syria. They want to be an autonomous region like 'Iraqi Kurdistan' in Iraq. all that needs to be done is to write that in the Greater Syrian Constitution guaranteeing this arrangement.
This is a CRITICAL moment.
Instead of the US standing by our Partners, we have stabbed them in the back and left them to be:
1. Slaughtered by Turkey.
2. Subjugated by Assad, the Russians, and Iran.
The timing of the US pullout could not be worse.
The 'timeline' is when Assad acknowledges the autonomous region of Rojava.
The 'strategy' is American support for the people that did the dying in ridding northeast Syria of ISIS.
