I started posting on political forums when bush was getting ready to invade Iraq, so, 20 years ago. And I noticed how much dumber people have gotten since then, dumb in the sense that they don't have the basic knowledge about government, the Constitution, Congress etc. that most of us learned in MS and HS. And putting a convicted felon into the presidency is an all-time low for America.

I could not agree more. I hire 20-somethings a couple times a month. They don't know where to find a state or a country on a map. They get their news from TikTok. And they're influenced by boomers who decided that truth is relative. The sheer stupidity of the average American and internet poster is down the toilet, into the sewer, and causing another ecological disaster in some river. What fascinates me is the indisputable fact that most severely stupid people identify as "conservative" (even though they never took a political science course in their lives and have no idea what it means) and/or "Republican" (which is a party that ceased to exist in any meaningful way when the elders sold it to a New York liberal who cheated his way through life while cheating on his multiple wives).
