Why should I debate economics with topspin? Have you spent ANY time on this board? This is a guy who said housing won't affect the rest of the economy, because no other sectors relate to it. This is a guy who posted an upbeat report about growth in the 1st part of the year as "proof" that housing would have no affect on the rest of the economy or on Wall Street, and in the link for the report it actually warned that the next 2 quarters would be much slower because of HOUSING. This is the guy who said the middle class is "fat & happy," and could easily afford the higher costs of education, energy & healthcare with their 401K's (that's 401K, which is a RETIREMENT FUND).

Oh, and this is also a guy who, routinely when he's getting stomped with actual economic facts & figures, resorts to calling people coffee fetcher & "gayboy" (thus, what you perceive as my "homophobia.")

This is also the guy who you jump in like a fool to try to defend, not understanding any of this, and not comprehending in the slightest why none of the intelligent people on this board waste their time with him anymore.

Now...how 'bout that ice core study? Do you really want to debate, stir? You're always talking like you're above everyone here in knowledge, somehow; all I've seen are contradictory cut & pastes & "LOL's" out of you.

I know that a lot of economists, including liberals, said that housing was propping up the economy, and warned that predatory loans & borrowing against overinflated home values would be dangerous for the economy in years to come.

Let's see...who was right about that one, stir? Maybe you could enlighted us with your vast economic knowledge about how rapidly declining home values, combined with record overborrowing & a severe credit crunch, don't pose any risks to the economy?

Or are you in completely over your head, and thought you could just do a quick driveby to get a zinger in against the lefties?
