I'm actually in agreement with Asshate, for once.

I cannot emphasize enough how much democracy sucks, how the plebes are moronic, why attempting to export democracy does no one any good, and above all, how shredding our republic with encroaching democracy has, and continues, to destroy our society.

I don't even know what the fuck you just said! Can you please try to disseminate your thoughts a little more clearly, for those of us who don't understand Retardspeak?

It seems to be some pinhead consensus, that "Religious Groups" are out there passing laws left and right, to prohibit you heathen perverts from doing what you want to do! I merely asked for some examples, and I have been given ONE! ...You can't buy a machine gun made before 1986! I didn't realize pinheads wanted to buy old machine guns, but whatever!

I think it's safe to say, "religious groups" are NOT out there passing laws left and right, to "deny your rights" as was originally asserted. Far from it!

What about Blue Laws? The fact that the religious right has tried to make it so some stores cannot open on Sunday seems to be an example of the religious right restricting the freedoms of heathens. That and the refusal to allow adults to buy a six pack of beer on Sunday seems like imposing one groups religious beliefs on other folks.

Also, there are those laws prohibiting the sale of sex toys in the state of Alabama unless they are labeled "novelties". This is another example of religious conservatives trying to impose their own beliefs on others, or at least on society.

And we won't even delve into the 10 Commandments monument secreted into the Alabama Supreme Courthouse lobby in the middle of the night.
