I do not show ID just because a cop asks for one. Exercising your rights is the only way to retain them and keep them strong. This is why I celebrate open carry folks, the first amendment auditors, the fourth amendment auditors... Yeah. If I am not breaking a law and they cannot articulate one that they think I am breaking then they don't even get my name.

Almost all state IDs are "Real ID" compliant. If she hands over her Drivers' License she is proving citizenship if she has the little star.

Meant 5 year olds, like the kid in Minneapolis, and what I can recall from my own kids, 5th graders have a hard time keeping track of their mittens let alone having to carry official documents at all times

Theyvwear them on a lanyard.... They need to learn to be responsible and not lose them... Schools teach children lots of Life skills.... Being responsible and always having an iD on hand are just a couple of them....

Some do. Most do not. Even those who do they are not Real ID so useless. ICE is refusing to even look at some IDs when they want to arrest someone.... anyone.
