School children have to carry papers in America now

Do you carry proof of citizenship?

A school ID isn't proof.

Neither is your drivers license.
If you've got an ID to show someone then you're cooperating with them... That's always a good start... What would you show to prove your? I guess I could go home and get my birth certificate if they needed it....

History repeats

Anyone with any sense studies history
Agreed.

I do not show ID just because a cop asks for one. Exercising your rights is the only way to retain them and keep them strong. This is why I celebrate open carry folks, the first amendment auditors, the fourth amendment auditors... Yeah. If I am not breaking a law and they cannot articulate one that they think I am breaking then they don't even get my name.

So "no" then.

'Nuff said.
Isn't it funny how just 15 years ago most Euro-American, middle-aged and older RW males were advocating Ben Franklin's "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety" but now support a monarchy? We live in weird times.

Everybody.... The kids love them.... They get all kinds of stickers , they can put on them... Cute little lanyards to wear them... Why not?
Meant 5 year olds, like the kid in Minneapolis, and what I can recall from my own kids, 5th graders have a hard time keeping track of their mittens let alone having to carry official documents at all times

Kids would lose their ID. They would likely play with them. Kids cannot be trusted with ID nor expected to have it on hand. You do not understand logic or common sense.

Theyvwear them on a lanyard.... They need to learn to be responsible and not lose them... Schools teach children lots of Life skills.... Being responsible and always having an iD on hand are just a couple of them....
