I was shocked when GWB got so much support in 2000. I thought who in the world would vote for this guy? Then I realized 'the good old boys' liked him. That's when I realized how much trouble the country was in. It got better during Obama, but there was so much resistance trying to prevent him from accomplishing anything it was frustrating. Hopefully we hit bottom with Trump, but that remains to be seen.

No, I don't engage with anybody who tells me off once. That's all they get. If they are gonna be flippant they are permanently ignored.

That sounds logical, but the problem is that Trump supporters defy logic.

I wish you were right. It makes all the sense in the world. But we have seen that making sense does not automatically get people elected with this crowd. A candidate can make total nonsense, but fire up a crowd, and they get elected.

Doing the right thing is boring.

Being controversial gets attention.

Getting attention, getting people fired up, gets votes.

Being boring but saying the right thing doesn't always work.

People don't want to think anymore. They want pizazz.

Been that way ever since 1980 when we made the wrong choice then.

Well, he has said the words, but his heart wasn't in it, no enthusiasm. His rambunctious deplorable crowd wouldn't have it. They have been too well programmed by Fox Propaganda Channel to detest anything liberal, including uniting with liberals against a common enemy. They'd literally rather die. At least that's the way they feel until they are being wheeled into ICU pleading for the vaccine when it's too late.

That's the only time they finally realize they messed up. When it's far too late.

Covid19 isn't a 'side'. Covid19 does not kill. Masks are completely ineffective against a virus. Democrats already HAVE destroyed California, New York, and now the federal government.
