Schumer faces calls to resign as minority leader after some Democrats work with Republicans to end shutdown

You can almost bet your house that the D's decided that they needed to get to 60.....and then there were intense negotiations on who would vote yes. Normally this would be either people who are going to leave, or people who are so strong that their yes votes wont endanger their elections.

I dont know about how these 8 were decided however.
 
The seven Democratic senators are leaving or retiring or are untouchable.

One of them will replace Schumer as party leader in the Senate.

The GOP is already in huge trouble for being Israel first and continuation of the WarPigging....which the American people have had enough of.....Trump was supposed to do something about that but refused.....he betrayed us.

Please tell me that Schiff isn't his replacement... I don't know if I can take that crazy eye all the time.

I think that the voter is not too upset at supporting Ukraine and Israel.

Are you paying any attention to what Trump and the MAGA are doing in power? This is Trump's second term and his second shutdown. He uses shutdowns for political leverage and to punish the poor. He does not care about throwing people out of work. In fact, he started his admin with Musk killing millions of jobs crudely and without a clue who the workers were and what they were doing. Trump and Musk enjoyed it.
 
Now that the Dems have force the GOP to open the government, release all the files then, poor Earl, and we will see.
