Trump has criticized judges ever since he has been in office ( and actually before) and his previous comments-just like Schumer's-could be misconstrued as "threatening".
While I agree his words were not the best choice, his point is well taken.

Schumer's point was if you rule against abortion you will pay the price. He called them out by name.

Well taken equals intimidation.
