Scientists’ Tests Hack Into Electronic Voting Machines

BAC, why do the Democrats do nothing?

US Citizen is correct. They lack courage. They are centrists and centrists are more concerned with political expediency than leadership. We've seen this over and over again. We've watched it from the moment Bush TOOK office up until this very day. Even in the minority and on the run from the American people republicans appear to exert more power in Congress than democrats who only control it on paper.

When I'd go before a body of democrats and lay out the evidence of fraud in electronic voting, they would often say, "If we tell voters that there is something wrong with the system they'll lose confidence and won't turn out."

WTF goddamit son-of-a bitch kiss my ass.

I exploded with those very same words in one meeting. What difference does it make if a gazillion people turnout if the oppossition is going to manipulate the count?

You know what they did? .. they ran whenever they saw me. Literally run the fuck away. In one town hall meeting, after I challenged the entire IT department of Georgia to openly debate me on the issue and one local televison station said they would cover it, the Secretary of State, Cathy Cox, got up from her seat and RAN, not walked briskly, but RAN out of the auditorium. Many in the sudience thought perhaps she had to go to the bathroom real bad. But when she didn't return and sent message for her IT department heads to leave the auditoriium, the audience was pissed.

I also challenged the selection of Diebold as the vendor. The lobbyist for Diebold was the previous Secretary of State, Lewis Massey, the former boss of what was then the current Secretary of State. ... Imagine that?

I demonstrated an electronic voting system that included a VVPAT and functions that went beyond what the activists were demanding, the TruVote System. It included a paper audit trail that would allow voters to verify their votes before they were cast, then put that verified vote into a locked ballot box without the voter ever touching the audit trail. AND it would allow the voters, later into the election, to dial an 800 number or use the internet to find out exactly where their vote was counted. (your vote was counted 53,221 out of XXXX). AND it was more cost effective than the Diebold System.

TruVote was rejected, not because of performance failures, but because of a complex system of certfication processes .. that were republican controlled.

I became friends with the owner and developer of the TruVote System, Athan Gibbs .. who died in a mysterious car accident in Tennessee. I make no claims of a conspiracy to kill him, but a mysterious accident it was. Read his story here ...

Bill Gates called the TruVote System, "the best voting machine technology on the market" and waived the standard fees for Gibbs to partner with Microsoft.

I'm sorry, I digressed from your question .. but Athan has flooded my memory.

gotta stop writing for now.

Don't be sorry, this is fascinating information, thank you. I am so sorry about your friend.

I can hardly believe it all comes down to being afraid of being considered a "moonbat" or of discouraging people from voting...but I guess it is that. I have wracked my head trying to figure this out. It's just crazy.

THANK YOU Blackascoal!

I applaud yours and Mr Gibbs dedication.

This is a dangerous game isnt it?

I have been on this subject for years and have managed to be called all sorts of names for it.

My own mother thinks I am a moonbat for this subject.

She is a conservitive who refuses any information on the subject no matter how well documented.

I have tried to convience people that there is no greater threat to our democracy than this issue.

I know the Dems are nopt perfect but they still remain the best chance of saving this country.
