Having lived there for over 20 years (and moved as soon as I could) I understand that. But that simply makes a Mass Democrat even more commie, pink and liberal!

New York is the same, by the way, which is why I joined the Conservative Party when I lived there.

They came very close several months ago, but no, they have not. The purpose of the NYS Conservative Party is to influence both major parties by interviewing and endorsing the best candidate. On a NYS ballot a candidate can be listed several times in the same race, and many folks will look at a Conservative Party endorsement favorably.

When I lived there the NYS Liberal Party also did the same thing. They, however, were never as influential and in fact dissolved several years ago. I'm not sure if they resurrected themselves since.
