Well there is one reason and it's religious. According to certain beliefs, it will bring the destruction.

That was true in the past. But it is no longer true. Same sex marriages are recognized by the US gov't and the majority of the states.

Yes, it is a marriage. And FYI, marriage is not necessarily a religious institution.

"marriage" is a word coopted by religion but it was a word created in civic society and NOT tied to any religions but religions can no more claim it for all use then the Boys Club of America could. Groups do not get to claim words and then apply their own exclusive definition to them.

No, it is not about procreation. Nothing in the typical marriage vows mentions children. There are plenty of married couples without children. Should they be forced to divorce?

Nobody believes a requirement to have kids is a requirement otherwise they would focus and ban men and women who are known to be infertile from marrying, even if they heterosexual, and they do not want to do that and have never tried, thus proving what they say is bullshit and they do not believe it.

MAGA morons only want to gay bash. Correct that marriage isn't necessarily a religious right. A couple can walk up to the country clerk's office and be married there. It's a legal contract recognized by the government for legal reasons such as survivorship, property ownership, taxes, etc.

It really is that simple.

A percent of people in society have ALWAYS needed someone to direct hate at and gays were it for the longest time before they were given 'brown people' by Trump and then 'trans people' also by Trump.

It seems to me a number slightly below 30% of society (in US) just have this HATE that needs to be fed all the time.

I have a news flash for you, and that is ALL WORDS ARE MADE UP. That is an absolute truth. You can look up when most words were first made up.
