SCOTUS protects marriage equality

Then what is it based on?
The govt has a compelling interest in encouraging one man and one woman to marry. It creates babies which helps a society grow. It encourages commitment so the govt doesn't have to take care of the children created but today the govt takes care of too many reasons. Those reasons would be a good topic for a new thread.

Of course it is. No religious doctrine has any bearing on the law.
Again incorrect. This has nothing to do with religion as the govt has a compelling interest in encouraging one man one woman marriage. Nothing is gained by govt or society with get marriage. It's a self care endeavor. If two gay people want the same benefits that straight people get from a marriage I have no problem with that but what they have is as much a marriage as a bicycle is a motorcycle.

Channeling @IBDaMann again?
It's a funny joke that he came up with, so I've adopted usage of it. Same with whoever came up with 'anchovies' as the nickname for archives (and the "poor anchovies" quote).

I've also come up with some my own nicknames for JPP forum users, such as Dimlight for Daylight (is he even on here anymore?), NoNads for Nomad, Domer the Gomer, and FlipTheBird for Tbird.
Are you claiming that their marriage certificates do not exist?
No.

You think mocking the disabled is funny. It reflects poorly on you.
Then same sex marriage exists.

Thanks for agreeing.

You are agreeing with me while pretending not to. :)
Fuck no! States recognize religious weddings as valid not because they're religious but because it's one man one woman. Same with a JP. Religion is irrelevant just like sex I the application of the law
