Seattle adds a concrete wall around Capitol Hill police precinct

I know the crumbling I-5 infrastructure was due to a cheap contractor using poor quality materials.

Did you know about that 5 mile or what ever it was stretch somewhere around Fife where they put in all new road....but it was so out of spec that they had to literally rip it up and do it over?

That is another failure of government...in the 70's in Rockford Il I got told over and over that Washington was almost as well run as California, and I believed that Washngton was well run until about three years after I moved here in aught four....I started noticing things......some of these things were done 30-40 years ago......the quality of government was at best iffy even then....and now it completely sucks.

Very few people seem to care....just like California.

Its time to wake up now!

I live in Federal Way, so, I am intimately familiar with the give miles corridor, but, not that particular road project.

But, yeah, there was a stretch of time from 1933-1977 where WA governors (Martin, Langlie, Rossellini, and Evans) achieved amazing feats in engineering and public works. Evans was followed by Dixie Lee Ray and John Spellman, who were less successful, but, the last capable governors to run the state. Spellman left office in 1985.

First of all it's not a wall if you look at the picture it's just a Jersey barrier You in bread and moron
Nope its a triple stacked concrete block wall. Jersey barrier are A shape designed to cause minimal damage if a car scrapes into it. Jersey barriers are not designed to be stacked on each other. This is WALL is built out of large solid concrete blocks that are stacked three high then fasten together with steel. YOU MORON.

It must hurt being so retarded.

HURR DURR DERPY DERPY SEE??? THE WALL WORKS!

:palm:

We know the wall works, dumbasses.

Near as I can recall it was rebuilt in 06/07, then rebuilt again in 08/09.....super bumpy because the joints were all out of whack.
