Selfish irresponsible people who refuse to vaccinate are MURDERERS

My point is that the autism thing was not a few crazies shouting about it--- there as significant concern enough to warrant an investigation, even if (as far as I know) no results were found.

Prosecuting people is fine, but not for things like the chickenpox as Water has suggested.
Certainly not all immunizations are equal. As you say, chickenpox isn't the measles, let alone TB.

Due to vaccination, the deaths from chickenpox have reduced from 100 a year down to 8 this year. Given the signfigant amount of cases per a year, that's a small actual RATE, but I see little reason to let 92 more children die a year just because of paranoia.

That's a VERY small number, however. You have to draw arbitrary lines whenever you start talking about legislation. If you want to worry about numbers like that you'd best outlaw golfing when thunderstorms are possible as about 200 Americans are killed every year by lightening strikes, I believe.

TB is something else again. TB can kill millions.

So, because something completely arbitrary and uncotrollable kills 200 of our citizens, its fine to let something completely controllable and absolutely preventable kill 100?

I bet that many more would die in later years as adults.
