It seems that it is you being petty since your statement as written was false and now you want to call anyone that uses your statement names to hide your errors. Either Trump was elected or he was not elected. You don't get to claim the Presidency ended when Obama left office.

I would posit that the Founding Fathers, in their infinite wisdom, thought that the generations to come would be “smart” enough not to attempt to marry the same sex...or a horse, or a cow.

no, but civilization itself is premised upon some kind of agreed upon framework for behavior, aka morality, whether derived from a specific religion or from more generalized system of some kind of cooperative behavior.

my statement was that government had no business dealing with marriage, period. it's not in the constitution, much like abortion isn't. they have no power to deal with either and should be a state issue, with the exception of the full faith and credit clause.
