Because, you fucking idiot, for the 1,000th time, the RepubliKKKans hijacked the Supreme Court. The same Supreme Court that recently eliminated certain of women's civil rights. The same Supreme Court that most certainly would attempt to do the same thing to LGBTQ people. Even the RepuliKKKans in Congress wanted to kneecap the illegitimate court before they rolled back more American progress.

Not bad so far, been pretty good really. Still not that big of fan of winter though. Another 5 weeks and were out of here to warmer climate for awhile.

The thing is Equal rights under the law, makes it illegal to Ban gay marriage, just as it was Constitutionally illegal to ban marriage between the races!

True, but we all get the same rights. There is no such thing as "homosexual rights." Free speech, free press, free religion, and all other constitutional rights restrict government action. Government can't restrict any free speech whether spoken by a minor, illegal immigrant, foreign citizen, gay, straight....

When you say we cannot discriminate against gays it depends on who that applies to, what kind of actions, etc.

The Supreme Court wouldn't ban it. They would send it back to the states like they did with abortion. And although I ultimately agree with you about the constitutional issues, that still wouldn't keep us from a decade of legal battles and marriage uncertainty as those backwards ass, hick red shithole states passed laws against same sex marriage just to try it.

It applies to gay marriage when hateful heteros and fake Christians all over the country decided that gay relationships are less than straight relationships.

Agreed. It says state marriage laws cannot discriminate based on gender. That does not just apply to gays (in the unlikely event two straight people of the same sex chose to marry).
