Senate attempts to overcome GOP roadblock

Traitors of what? Please explain. The Tea Party is the only party that seems to have any common sense on any of the issues. You seem to love the quagmire of corruption and turn your Hate on American Patriots. Sir, are you a one of those who hates America? It appears by all of your negative comments that you would love to see this country follow Greece into bankruptcy.

If they TP has it's way, we will indeed follow Greece into bankruptcy.
Taxes are lower than they have been at any time since WWII.
In fact, revenue from taxes is far lower than expenditures. Taxes should be raised and spending cut until the two are balanced.
That is just economics 101, you know, the basics.
The TP however, refuses to raise taxes and only wants to cut spending, which is not working.
Since the Defense budget is our largest single expense, and larger than the combined defense budgets of every other country in the world, clearly cuts should start there, but defense is sacrosanct to the TP and cannot be touched.

Defense is constitutional and we are headed for a big war. There is plenty of crap to cut like all the freebies and supplements that the Democrats pay people to vote for them. Repeal Obamacare now and this country will bounce back.

why do you believe always raising taxes is the answer? as to "not working", that is because there hasn't been any real cuts in spending. so you can't say whether it is working or not.

No, I didn't. I said each house should pass whatever version of the bill they want by majority vote and iron out the differences in conference committee.
