Serious question for Gun Advocates.

So WinterBorn gets schooled, doesn't have a logical come back other than parroting the SOS. But instead of being a mature adult and conceding a point, he does the usual intellectual coward move .... a faux condescending laugh.

A pity .... I had expected better of him. Oh well.

Yeah, the exact shuffle.....parroting the 2nd Amendment line as if that's the be all, end all answer to ANY reasoning for restricting guns from various persons in the populace.

You have a criminal record, you don't get a gun. Yet you're a potential "security risk" on an airliner (i.e. 9-11) and it's okay to buy a gun.

That just doesn't make horse sense. But you stupidly insist that it's a prelude to remove the 2nd amendment.

So explain to us all how that works. The reading audience awaits.

Oh please. I am not shuffling at all. And I have not said one thing about opposing any and all restrictions. So that was a lie.

As I said before, one is a constitutionally guaranteed right and one is not. That is not parroting anything. It is simply stating that some rules weigh heavier than others.

"But you stupidly insist that it's a prelude to remove the 2nd amendment." Please point out where I said that?

LMAO!!! I am doing several things at the same time. If I do not respond quickly enough.....well.... Tough shit.

And I am not parroting anything. I am stating what is written in the US Constitution. And the U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land.

If you think the 2nd amendment needs to be removed, then start movement to amend the Constitution.

I think this post applies to you more than me.

You got schooled.
You had no response so you bailed out.
You refused to concede the point, and then tried to chastise me for the same. (that is called "Hypocrisy")

He thinks he's never wrong. The forum prodigy, in his own mind.
I generally pass by his drivel because he thinks us gun owners are
unintelligent knuckle-dragging, sheet-wearing mooks. He would not
lift a finger to fight for this country if invaded (he's proven this fact).
He's as yellow as they come, a coward of utmost proportions.

I have seen what he calls "debate". Which why I was surprised by his posts.

He also thinks every gun owner should have insurance on each gun they own (that would have bankrupted me before I sold most of my collection. and would still be a significant financial hardship) whether they have them for investment, or a specific use like my varmint or deer rifles.
In reality, he would like to see every gun owner turn in their guns (or have them taken) and the 2nd. Amendment scrapped. He blames the NRA for these nut cases shooting up schools, yet the NRA sponsors more safety/firearms training than any other private organization. We even have a program/course for small kids (don't touch, tell an adult).

I recently watched some podcaster state that while you can be on a "terrorist" watch list (whether you're actually one or not) that can prevent you from getting on an airplane, you can still buy as many guns you want, depending on individual state laws.

Is this true? If so, does that make sense to you and why?
When it is the government that is making the determination, it needs to be heavily scrutinized by We the People. The right to keep and bear arms is an inalienable right that We cannot allow to be stripped away by a tyrannical government that has created a "designation" that allows it to strip Us of our inalienable rights.

the terrorists need guns to pacify the domestic population.

See Posts #18 & #20. The rest of your drivel is just a regurgitation of your dodgy smoke blowing of moot points.
I'll dumb it down for you: we know what the separate laws are ... THE POINT IS THAT THERE IS AN ILLOGICAL (and potentially dangerous) gap for overall better police and national security enforcement. This type of disconnect led to the first attempted bombing ot the WTC building under Clinton. He fixed that by forcing all agencies to coordinate information. The Shrub gets in, dismantle that set up ... 9-11 happens and then we get the DHS with quasi gestapo powers. BUT. the gap I just described still exists. .. and that (as the linked article points out) is a potential problem.

So spare us all the parroting and explain why you don't see this as a problem.

I believe that the crux of the issue is that the means of being put on a terrorist watch list are relatively arbitrary and can be done without your knowledge, i.e. any sort of hearing or notice. The courts have ruled that the government cannot do something like that with a constitutionally protected right. One would think that since the courts have ruled that travel is an inherent constitutional right, apparently that only applies to your foot travel and nothing else.
