Sessions names prosecutor to investigate FBI allegations

So, we'll see if there is anything to the Foxbart fantasies. Apparently Sessions doesn't think so, or he would have appointed a special counsel.

Sessions plays by the book—almost to a fault.

He’s right: an SP is the last resort and shouldn’t be used as a political weapon. They should have allowed congress or a bi-partisan commission to explore Russian collusion to see if the evidence warranted an SP—but they wanted rid of Trump, so they rushed into it.

Sessions also gets points for going outside the Beltway for Huber. And Huber will look into what the big hurry was all about.

Yeah. In late 2015 the CIA started getting warnings from friendly foreign intel agencies about "suspicious interactions" between the Trump campaign and Russian agents, so in JULY 2016 the FBI started an investigation which became public knowledge AFTER the election, and finally Mueller was appointed in MAY 2017.

Helluva rush.

You’re more trusting of intelligence sources than me lol.

Because of Brexit, Europe looks askance at Trump’s nationalism. So let’s have a look to see if there was a political motive behind the Trump Russia investigation.

It was all above-board so there’s nothing to worry about, right?

Does anyone trust intel sources 100%? I don't. But you can't just ignore a whole bunch of them.

Warnings about the Trump campaign's "suspicious interactions" started with British GCHQ (signals intelligence) in late 2015, followed by other friendly intel agencies in the first half of 2016. That was BEFORE the Brexit referendum.

So, let's see if the CIA, FBI and DoJ were "politically motivated".

I’m in, let’s do it lol.

Maybe the ‘cobbled together’ aspect is a good thing.

We need indictments more than an SP. Also, since Huber will be limited to what Horowitz uncovers, the scope of the investigation will be narrow [as it ought to be] and won’t involve indicting peripheral actors.

No getting lost in the weeds like Mueller. It’s pretty slick, actually. We may have misunderestimated Deputy Dog.
I do like your optimism, and I'm confident in the IG as far as it goes.
My concern is getting Comey/Mccabe/Rybicki et all ( out if IG jurisdiction) to testify.

Maybe that's what Huber is for?

Utah is perfect!

I’ve been saying for months they need a prosecutor from outside the Beltway who doesn’t know of the people involved.

Who wants to indict their racket ball partner?
thats why an outside SP would be ideal.

But I don't want to minimize this -see how it goes.afterall that's the play -nothing I/we can do about it

Jesse the "race baiter"......he and Big Brother Al both belong to the church of neverending bigotry...no? They make a living off dupes pretending to be something they are not...mirrors of the great MLK.
Has either of them ever worked a day in their lives other than making millions chasing pretend bigotry and threatening businesses?

Really the DOJ is going to investigate itself...again? Jeff is using a DOJ agent to investigate the DOJs history of corruption? Why did the Trump investigation require a Special Council to investigate...the NON CRIME of some supposed collusion.....when all the evidence points to internal corruption within that same agency that requires no SPECIAL INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATION with the power of the court to actually issue warrants when the DOJ (FBI) continues to ignore self imposed regulations and Congressional Subpoenas?

This is the same Jeff that recused himself in order to allow that same organization to INVESTIGATE his boss Mr. Trump? I think I see a snake in the woodpile. What happens to all those beyond the reach of Jeffs special prosecutor.....players like McCabe, Comey....and all those that no longer work for the DOJ? They walk.

Idea! Jeff could go to the FISA court and present the memos generated by the Republican's in Congress so they could get a warrant to spy on McCabe, Comey and company. It worked for Hillary....why not TRUMP?

:lolup::rofl2:

the 7th floor are all pretty much actionable. Clapper skates as does Brennan to go on CNN
and pretend to give intelligence perspectives

Thanks. That clears it up. The 7th Floor Cabal.

I thought that particular cabal was bulletproof. For sure, I thought either the 3rd Floor Cabal or the Mezzanine Cabal were on the hotseat.
