Several Questions about the Trayvon Martin Case...

These are questions I have run across that I haven't understood.

He was living with his father at the time, left to go get stuff from the store and return, yet nobody reported him missing for three days and then it was his mother who reported it.

How is it his body remained at the coroner's office as a John Doe, unclaimed, for so many days? If he was on a call with his girlfriend at the time how is it she didn't report it when she could no longer get in touch with Trayvon? If you were on the phone with your girlfriend/boyfriend who was telling you he was being followed by somebody nefarious and they disappeared would you not report it to somebody? Why does Trayvon's family not give the code to access the phone records for Trayvon's phone? (They may have trusted him more than I would a 17 year old, but believe me I will have access to my kid's phone when and if I decide to get them one.)

It may be that some of my information is off, but this is stuff I have gleaned from interviews of people involved. There is a bunch of stuff that doesn't make sense there to me.

I have some questions too. How is it that a watch captain, having been warned off by the police, yet followed and killed a 17 year old boy, was not charged with murder one?
How can certain people then question the vicitm's innocence?

Is there a law that says he must obey the dispatcher? Who is questioning the victim's innocence?

Murder 1 would indicate premeditation, I dont belive we see any evidence that would suggest premeditation. Charging him with Murder 1 would be overeaching, and I suspect the central Florida prosecutors have learned a valuable lesson about overreaching after the Casey Anthony aquittal.

EXCELLENT QUESTIONS.
It might appear that they could be hiding something; because they also had his school records sealed.

Ths is your assumption that he CONTINUED to follow, after being told that it wasn't necessary (not warned off as you suggested), instead of stopping when he was told it wasn't necessary.

Okay. Do you believe that they'll be able to prove a "depraved mind" as necessary for 2nd Degree Murder in Florida?

After having spent 6 weeks as a prosecutor in Junivle court here in Florida I do not question Damocles's list of events, they are not unusual for a class of people who live in a culture that exists in our communities. Kids are often not supervised and will go back and forth from living with one parent or the other without notice. The one parent will simply assume the teenager is with the other parent or staying with friends for a few days. The "girlfriend" will often not find it unusual for her "boyfriend" to dissappear for a few days or a week, assuming that he took up with someone else for a while. I would never have understood or belived this lifestyle existed untill I saw it play out over and over again in court.

Thanks. That would make it make some more sense for me, although I don't understand that kind of laisez faire attitude for my children...

Well, thanks, Jarod. It's difficult to conceive indeed, but I'll definitely trust your experience on that.

So what??
He was going to get skittles and iced tea, the ones that Liberals keep saying he was armed with, for his brother and he just decided to split to somewhere else and his girlfriend who finds out he's being "stalked", just assumes he went somewhere else.
It seems that lack of parental responsibility has now become a defense.

I dont believe those facts mean anything. Just because his community did not notice he was missing has no relevance to the event, in my mind.

The NY Times says that the father reported him missing early in the morning after the shooting.

do explain how he could be guilty of 1st degree murder.....it is obvious you don't have a clue what it means

First...he wasn't "warned off" by the police....he was told, "you don't have to do that"......

and the victim might just as well be the guy that was attacked by this teen.....

You just make shit up to justify your preconceived beliefs...

That is not the world NORMAL people live it.....not by any stretch......thats a dysfunctional family.... non-caring parents and unsupervised children.....

Is that what you believe is the NORM in a black familys....

I dont believe those facts mean anything. Just because his community did not notice he was missing has no relevance to the event, in my mind.

It has relevance to the person of Martin......innocent teen or wanna-be thug, finding an unexpected victim to attack.....

You certainly find no problem with digging up Zimmerman's clash with the cops 7 years ago and other unrelated crap thats ancient history to this event....

I don't read it as him saying that's normal. That's just what he saw for a group of people during his time as a prosecutor in Juvenile Court. It's sad to hear that.

Okay. After a deeper look at this I find that he was tagged as a John Doe for only one night. By 8AM the next morning the pictures of Trayvon were being shown to his father for identification.

So, basically everything that I heard about it was wrong to begin with. His father reported him missing, not his mother, he reported him missing early in the AM, and was shown pictures and identified Trayvon the next morning. So, even Jarod's explanation, while helpful, didn't explain this. Just that the people being interviewed didn't have the facts.

Sorry folks, nothing to see here. Other than the phone records thing, which may not even be true considering these people on the radio this morning were flat wrong however much they were supposed to be "part" of this thing or in the know.
