Several Questions about the Trayvon Martin Case...

I would think the proximity of the shooting to either Zimmerman's car or the complex could be very telling. If it was close to Zimmerman's car, then his statement would appear to be correct, the further from his car the shooting occurred, the less likely his statement is true.

I am curious to see what they are basing the 'Zimmerman confronted Martin' on given that both Martin and the girlfriend stated that it was Martin that initiated the verbal exchange.

I agree and the part that has to be explained to me; if Martin was so fearful of Zimmerman, then why would he return to confront him after getting away from him? Unless Martin wanted to have a confrontation.
Seems pretty aggressive, to me.

The Point is, Prosecutors contend George Zimmerman provoked confrontation with Trayvon Martin!

Updated at 6:30 p.m. ET: George Zimmerman pursued Florida teenager Trayvon Martin as he tried to run home and provoked a confrontation before shooting Martin in the chest during a struggle, prosecutors contended in court documents made public Thursday.

The allegations appear in a probable cause affidavit prepared in support of a second-degree murder charge against Zimmerman, who made his first court appearance earlier in the day in Sanford, Fla. A judge found probable cause to proceed with the case based on the affidavit.

Zimmerman's arraignment was set for May 29, when he plans to plead not guilty to the charge, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison, his attorney said after the hearing. He is his to remain behind bars until his arraignment!

Bottom line, this piece of shit life is over!

The only "questions" righties seem to have involve how they can spinning a murder into an assault by the dead victim...

I guess the LaCross fiasco has left your memory.

On April 11, 2007, North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper dropped all charges and declared the three players innocent. Cooper stated that the charged players – Reade Seligmann, Collin Finnerty, and David Evans – were victims of a "tragic rush to accuse." The initial prosecutor for the case, Durham County's District Attorney Mike Nifong, who was labeled a "rogue prosecutor" by Cooper, withdrew from the case in January 2007 after the North Carolina State Bar filed ethics charges against him. That June, Nifong was disbarred for "dishonesty, fraud, deceit and misrepresentation", making Nifong the first prosecutor in North Carolina history to lose his law license based on actions in a case. Nifong was found guilty of criminal contempt and served one day in jail. Mangum never faced any charges for her false accusations as Cooper declined to prosecute her.

Do you have any evidence that would suggest that Nifong should have been suspect, from the beginning?

She's probably waiting for you to come up with an answer to her question before she worries about yours.

Since when does a confrontation have to involve a verbal exchange?

Does it matter? Zimmerman was hunting and ready to kill.

Who is questioning the victim's innocence?

See post # 5 in this thread.

objection. how can the witness possibly testify as to what was going on in the mind of the defendant at the time of the incident?

Prove he was 'hunting and ready to kill'; unless you're just full of shit and trying to see what kind of shit you can stir up.

Once again, for the mentally impaired.
Zimmerman DID NOT confront Martin.
In fact; the recording from Martin's call to his girlfriend shows that he confronted Zimmerman, while Zimmerman was going to the mailbox(s) to meet up with the Police.

No.

Trayvon Martin's family attorneys alleged that Sanford officials met hours after the teen died to discuss overruling a police detective who prepared an affidavit to arrest Zimmerman, CNN reports.

In a letter to the U.S. Department of Justice, the Martin family said Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee, and State Attorney Norm Wolfinger met the night of the shooting and ignored a detective's advice to arrest the neighborhood watch volunteer.

As the story gained national attention, Wolfinger removed himself from the investigation. Shortly afterward Lee stepped down from his position temporarily.

According to the Miami Herald, local police went to the Seminole State Attorney with a request to file charges and the police report labeled the case as "homicide/negligent manslaughter." On Tuesday, Martin family attorney Jasmine Rand insisted Wolfinger and Lee met to overrule the decision to charge Zimmerman.

Wolfinger denied the lawyers' accusation in a statement Monday, saying that no "such meeting or communication occured."

"I am outraged by the outright lies contained in the letter by Benjamin Crump," he said.

The Sanford police department has been the focus of withering criticism for its handling of the initial investigation. The case has become a flashpoint in the national debates over racial profiling and gun control laws. Martin was black. Zimmerman's father is white and his mother is Peruvian.

On Wednesday evening, special prosecutor Angela Corey, who took over the investigation, announced Zimmerman had been charged with second-degree murder and taken into custody. A day later, he appeared in court, and although he did not enter a plea, he is expected to plead not guilty. If convicted, he could face life in prison.

According to CNN, FBI agents were in Sanford on Tuesday, conducting interviews for their civil rights investigation of the case. They have spoken with Frank Taaffe, one of Zimmerman's most vocal supporters, and the 16-year-old girl who Martin was on the phone with shortly before the fatal confrontation.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said the department will act decisively if it finds evidence that the teen's civil right were criminally violated.

State Attorney Norm Wolfinger , was allegedly, the official who drove 50 miles at the behest of Zimmerman's father to have his son released.

Martin was being followed idiot. He tried to get away. Zimmerman's actions seem pretty agressive to me.
