Crying Hilton ordered to jail

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Screaming and crying, Paris Hilton was escorted out of a courtroom and back to jail Friday after a judge ruled that she must serve out her entire 45-day sentence behind bars rather than in her Hollywood Hills home.

A judge has ordered Paris Hilton returned to jail to serve out her 45-day sentence for a probation violation.

She was taken from court screaming "It's not right!" The frenzy over Hilton's jail status began Thursday when sheriff's officials released her because of an undisclosed medical condition and sent her home under house arrest.

I feel a little sorry for her. I can't help it. She's pathetic. For Christ sakes, she's only going to do about 23 days when all is said and done according to the article I read. Buck it up baby. Have some dignity. But I'm thinking, a reaction like that, at 26 years of age, this girl is emotionally stunted. I can't take any pleasure out of it.

Honestly, Darla, I feel guilty for even paying attention to this story. I feel pathetic - it's hollywood infotainment ;) It's like a trainwreck, you can't avert your eyes from.

I have no feeling one way or the other about her. I pay as little attention to her as I can. But, her behaviour is pathetic, isn't it?

She's a real jerk though. I just read the whole timeline of how she landed this sentence.

1) Arrested for drunk driving. Driver's liscence suspended.

2) Still drives. One week later, pulled over. Fined and put on probation.

3) Continues to drive. Pulled over arrested.

4) Sentenced to jail.

What a jerk! She kept driving, after her DUI, was pulled over twice and put on probation before they finally put her in jail. What an asshole!

Thank God...

A real Judge with real and fair and just decisions...Kudos to him or is that her...no matter...Paris was way overdue for a real spanking...Mommie and Daddie failed this young lady!

Someone should spank mommie and daddie, too! Paris is an adult and time for her to give up mommie and daddie and face the music!

Cypress... the one part you did not have in the timeline is what she told the judge.... the reason she was driving on the suspended license was that she had people to take care of things like that for her.

and yes, as sad as it is to be following this story... I still took an odd pleasure from her crying and being hauled back to jail. "it's not right! MOM!"

ROFLMAO

Man, something is wrong with her:

LOS ANGELES - Paris Hilton was sent screaming and crying back to jail Friday after a judge ruled that she must serve out her sentence behind bars rather than in the comfort of her Hollywood Hills home.

“It’s not right!” shouted Hilton, who violated her probation in a reckless driving case. “Mom!” she cried out to her mother.

She cried throughout the hearing, dabbing her eyes, and her body shook constantly. Several times she turned to her parents, seated behind her in the courtroom, and mouthed, “I love you.”

Back before Sauer on Friday, Hilton’s entire body trembled as the final pitch was made for her further incarceration. She clutched a ball of tissue and tears ran down her face

Seconds later, the judge announced his decision: “The defendant is remanded to county jail to serve the remainder of her 45-day sentence. This order is forthwith.” Hilton screamed.

Well, she appears to be falling apart and having some sort of breakdown. I have some contempt for her because she's 26, not 20, and she has all of that, unimaginable amount of money, and she has never appeared to think of anyone but herself. Even now. Look how many people are in jail for crimes they didn't committ, for years. Or, how many black women are in jail for 20 years for having pot, under the Rockerfeller drug laws and other laws like them. So, I get all that. Yes, she's rich and terribly spoiled. Damo is right that someone failed terribly to teach her consequences. So she's a soft, weak, emotionally fragile creature, not someone I have anything in common with, any respect for nor would want to be friends with.

Yet...she's obviously having a breakdown. She is a human being, and though there are people far more worthy of sympathy, I still feel sorry for her. You can feel sorry for her and still feel sorrier for the black woman who isn't going to get out of jail. You know, they are both human. That's all that I mean.

I personally believe that letting her out now will stop a realization that she really needs to have.

Well, ok, I confess, I honestly do feel sorry for her. (Noting Darla's synopsis of her lack of maturity)

Many say, even with her actions of the disregard for our Civil Law, a "nobody" would not have been given the "time" she was given, because of the overcrowded situation in our prisons and lack of space for FELONS, so not to jail those of civil disobeidience.

Well, there's that. You can't drive around drunk, there are consequences. She could have killed someone..then she'd be doing a whole lot more time, plus, hopefull, guilt. I just think that I see some malicious pleasure in this (NOT on this board), on tv and other places. I don't feel it.

Hmm. I wonder if that is true.

Darla is my hero for commenting on Black women in jail for pot.

That said, lot rich hating going on toward Paris. This is free material for the comics of the world, so someone is benefitting.:clink:

Civil disobediance ? Driving with a suspended liscence is civil disobediance ?
Well I guess it is, that seems to be a phrase used to minimize the act of breaking the law.

No, I meant I wonder if it's true that an ordinary person wouldn't have done jail time for this. I don't know. When I was 20 I had a suspended license and I drove. I had to get to school. And I was caught, eventually. And I had to go to court, and they did nothing. They dropped it down to driving without having my license on me, and I paid a small fine, that was it. The ada smiled at me and said, look, get your license back honey, ok? And I did, after that. However, I did not lose it for drunk driving. I lost it because I was about 20, and I foolishly did not pay a speeding ticket. And, I showed up for court. So, it's not comparable and I don't know. What I can't figure out is, you have that much money...get a driver! Duh.
