Shamsud Din Jabbar is name, had ISIS flag on truck

Unconfirmed, so far. News reports and "eyewitness accounts" are not always reliable.

According to multiple reports, Shamsud Din Jabbar was indeed carrying an ISIS flag in his truck during the attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. This information has been consistently reported by various news sources, including Nola.com, The Advocate, and CBS News, among others.

@Grok
Unconfirmed..... your own source above confirms it

I used NOLA as my source in the other thread and you attacked me and claimed it was a bad source and that I was getting my info from Volsrock, you dumb twat

He is "bi" by his own admission, by the way, (See what I did there?)

I consistently exposed his fallacious thinking in the past, IIRC, and now he pretends to ignore me.

He's fond of the genetic fallacy. Hit him with it whenever he questions the source rather than the message. :thup:

Aside from all this, I want to know,

His country of origin and when and how did he enter the US?
More importantly,
Who was the person who made the decision NOT to put up the metal hydraulic poles and concrete barriers that are in place for so many events in the French Quarter?

apparently the city had removed some bollards recently and were in the process of installing steel ones in the area, so it sounds like they just had orange and white barricades up.

Are you a Boomer, or something?

Grok had the answer in less than a second.

Shamsud Din Jabbar was born in Texas.

@Grok

Shamsud Din Jabbar was identified as a U.S. citizen who was born and raised in Texas. Public records indicate that he has been living in Texas since at least 2008, suggesting he did not recently enter the United States. He also served in the U.S. Army. Therefore, he did not enter the U.S. as an immigrant but was born in the country.

@Grok

The suspect accused of plowing a truck through a crowd on Bourbon Street early Wednesday morning has been identified by a law enforcement source as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar.

Police fatally shot him after the attack, which killed 10 people and injured 35.

The source said Jabbar was carrying an ISIS flag in the truck, and authorities have said he was dressed in military gear.

Biden let this ISIS terrorist in!
He's an American citizen from Texas you putrid, lying turd.

He is a Muslim

Shamsud Din Jabbar's name suggests a Muslim background, as "Shamsud Din" can be interpreted as "Sun of the Faith" and "Jabbar" means "The Mighty" or "The Compeller," both of which are common in Islamic naming traditions.

However, direct confirmation of his religious beliefs or practices would require explicit statements or verified personal accounts which are not available from the given information.

Thus, while the name and associated symbols strongly suggest he might be Muslim, without definitive personal or official confirmation, this remains an inference based on available data.

Thanks for the update.

I do not use grok because I was told by the lefties Musk is evil. Now ask who made the decision NOT to put up the barriers.

OK, Boomer.

Traffic barriers, specifically hydraulic steel barriers, were indeed installed on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter following a terrorist attack in France. These were meant to be raised from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. to prevent vehicular access during peak pedestrian times.

However, on the night of the attack in January 2025, these barriers were not in use. This was due to an ongoing overhaul of the security system which began in November of the previous year.

The old barriers were described as "ineffective" due to issues like debris accumulation, leading to their removal for replacement with new retractable steel barriers. However, the new system was not yet operational at the time of the incident.
