Sheldon Whitehouse was right all along: The Supreme Court is corrupt

Whitehouse explained that dark-money groups such as the Federalist Society, led for years by Leonard Leo, put together a list of acceptable high court nominees from which President Donald Trump picked three justices. A closely aligned entity, the Judicial Crisis Network, spent millions to help get the justices confirmed (while donating to Senate Republicans to guarantee their support).

How moronic.

The Federalist Society rates candidates, judges, etc. on their record on Constitutionality/conservatism.

Please explain the idiocy that leads you to believe that's "corrupt".

Leftist groups,. like the Brookings Institute do the same thing for leftist candidates, judges, etc.

IT' S FREE COUNTRY, AND PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED TO EXPRESS THEIR OPINIONS, DILLWAD.

For the same reason you hide behind a sock and lie about being Legion; to cover your ass and seek to maintain control.

...I am not now or ever have been legion....

Mr. Tiny Penis, glad I trigger you and your band of WHITE supremacists. Keep your anti American tripe rolling.

That guy really thinks you're Legion? He doesn't know Legion is more than one person?

As said before, Mr. Tiny Penis has more issues than a magazine rack. That said, I am honored to be considered in that class, especially if it triggers him every time I post.

I wonder just how many posters brandonpresident actually has on ignore. I suspect his goal is to have everyone here on the list so he/she/alphabet can just post and have no readable responses which would lend credibility to the OP's he/she/alphabet posts a dozen times per day. An interesting technique.
Kinda like standing around admiring their down shadow.

Hmmm sounds as if you don't like the idea of a conservative rich person having influence and want to reserve that privilege for only leftists. Maybe take the plank out of your own eye before.....

The corruption of the SC by republiclowns is undeniable at this point.

Best case is Trump fractures the republiclown party this election cycle leading to big Dem majorities in all three branches and they then stack the court adding 4 new Justices to the court following the tradition of having the number of SC Justices match the number of federal appellate courts at 13.

That is precedent and that was the history of the court and it made sense.

The number of cases gong to the SC and being accepted and the numbers they have to turn away due to simply not having enough Justices is just growing and growing. And that is purposely as this SC is inviting more cases to be brought.

So in the name of fairness and to HELP the SC in their mission, the easy answer is to add 4 more Justices to the court.

Can President DeSantis pick them or would you then screech and demand 14 more be appointed but only when your party is in the majority?

Put the ladder back in your eye, your avatar makes it look like you know nothing, but then.............

Of course if DeSantis wins he could appoint them. And probable would. Republicans never fail to seize advantages even as they lecture the Dems not to do the same.

But that does not mean that DeSantis would open that door as he knows the GOP has no justification after stealing so many seats. He is best to leave it as it is and then pressure the Dems to do same, when they have power again and not open that door to a future Dem admin.

Justification matters and the Dems have that now, and they would have that even more if DeSantis, yet again, led the GOP to throw the rules out when it benefitted them.

I’m pretty sure he just calls you a troll and doesn’t respond to individuals that irritate him in that that particular thread. He just basically hangs up on you when he realizes he’s got no logical response.

I believe I told him awhile ago that if you put someone on the ignore list, they will no longer see what anyone is saying to and about them, and they take themselves out of the arena. This is a way for him to shut down the discussion without admitting defeat. This is why I emptied my ignore list about 6 months ago.
