While their state goes bankrupt and the country goes to hell...

Calif. deals with matters of the utmost importance...

Un-freaking-believable....

I wholeheartedly agree with this, how anybody in this day and age can support this barbaric practice is beyond me? If you think that female circumcision is disgusting then the same should apply to the male version. Nobody in Europe does this apart from Jews and Muslims. If somebody wants to do this when they are an adult that's their decision but to to take the choice away is a violation of human rights.

Typical liberal: anti-Semitic and wants to tell people what they can and can't do with their bodies.

apparently apple and tom hate religious freedom. comparing female circumcision to male circumcision is pure ignorance. an uncircumcised penis is more likely to lead to infections than a circumcised penis...

tom, do you actually know the difference between a female and a male circumcision?

I sure do hate religious freedom when it involves mutilating the bodies of children or, in other cases, denying children proper medical care such as blood transfusions.

Should the law pass and someone be found guilty of such the minimum sentence/punishment should be penile or clitoral amputation for both the guardian and the person who performed the procedure.

Case closed. :)

I am not telling anybody what they can do with their bodies. I'm saying that the decision should not be taken by parents, when they are too young to know otherwise.

It's the opposite. The law would forbid others from demanding their customs be performed on people unable to voice a knowledgeable opinion.

LOL So it's OK to tell parents that they can't have a routine medical procedure on their kids.

Uncircumcised penises look like miniature elephant trunks.

I say if that's what you choose, then sit still and let me throw you some peanuts!

Hear, hear......apparently the good women of the UK, along with Applebrain, love the taste of head cheese and the aroma of penis-neck-spez properly fermented for a day or two....but it is a free country to care for your children as you see fit.....within reason, of course.

Speaking as an American guy, living on the West Coast, its a procedure we all wish our parents would make for us. I am personally annoyed that my father didn't believe the procedure necessary, and guys in my position all realize that its not something we are ever going to get done in adulthood.

I can't speak for Canada, Europe, or other regions of the US, but out here the uncircumcized penis has been culturally stigmatized for some time. Women expect them to be circumsized, and society teaches that it makes them more aesthetically appealing. I'm really not surprised at all that Europeans are taking the fashionably inferior approach. Especially after seeing the Miller commercial with the European Thong or the Progressive European sholder bag commercial.

What does "routine" have to do with anything? Female circumcision is also routine in certain countries.

Do you think parents should have the right to do this?
(Excerpt) Scarification is still frequently used in Africa for decoration and to mark the passage into adulthood. Children have tribal designs cut into their faces, chests, and backs, in order to show they are man enough to withstand the pain without uttering a single noise.(End)

My apologies. I did not realize your concern about male circumcision was prompted by the taste of the male organ with which I see you're quite familiar so I yield to your superior knowledge.
