Should we hand over Lindsey Graham to the Russians?

Many Republicans have recently argued that we should not support Ukraine in their defensive fight, because it might anger the Russians. They are willing to sacrifice millions of Ukrainians to help out Putin.

Well are they willing to sacrifice one Lindsey Graham? He made statements of support for Ukraine, and Russia has now put out an arrest warrant for him.

My opinion? As long as the Ukrainians are willing to fight for themselves, we should support them within reason. Biden is doing a fantastic job of slicing the salami to give Putin nothing to complain about, and also making sure the Ukrainians have enough to defend themselves. I also think we should not even consider handing Graham over to Putin to be killed.

They are not taking him to an international court. They are charging him in a Russia court. What do you think Graham's chances of winning in a Russian court are?
 
This isn't just about Ukrainians We're not going to let the precedent stand that a larger nation can steal land from a neighbor through military force and in violation of international law.

We took over land from the Indians so do you want to give it all back and disband the US?

I couldn't care less about Graham. What's the end goal of "slicing the salami"? Wait until each side burns out? How much will that cost us?

He is a human being, so we should care about him, and he is an American, so we should defend him from foreign powers.

To get the whole salami without ever taking a noticeable amount of the salami. It is an expression that means that you make each move so minor no one can complain, and in the end get everything.

I do care about him as a human being but in this regard I do not

I know what it means my point is you don't get everything.
 
Lindsay is a chameleon. He changes to suit whatever is going to help him stay in power and get access. He hated Trump and then loved him. It was an immediate change. He spent lots of time visiting Trump at his golf courses. Free food and golf, here have my values, I don't need them.

I equate not defending Europe against the Russians
to not defending Europe against the Germans
until Germany declared war on us first.

Americans are fearless warriors against the weak,
but we bend over backwards to avoid conflict with anybody that has a pulse.

Sometimes, we even lose to the weak. I know all about that.

Not defending Ukraine, in civilized Europe, won't even be thought about
the next time we invade some sand pile of a country to enrich our corporate war profiteers.

Makes you proud, doesn't it?
