IS BRAD IN MORE TROUBLE?

A federal lawsuit claims sleazy law firms and medical professionals faked accidents, recruited passengers, and even pushed unnecessary spinal surgeries to milk insurance payouts.

No-fault insurance made rideshare drivers easy targets, forcing Uber to deal with wave after wave of shady claims.

With EVEN firms like NYC’s largest taxi insurer now bankrupt, Uber says it’s exposing fraud that’s been bleeding the system dry.

There is a large-scale investigation ongoing into a number of personal injury attorneys in South Florida relating to insurance fraud.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, who led the sting, the case continues to be an ongoing investigation and more arrests are expected in the near future.

None of the lawyers who have so far been arrested have a history of disciplinary action within the last decade.

Several attorneys have been investigated, and so far the alleged fraud is thought to amount to have made the lawyers involved over $521,000 during that period.

The lawyers who were investigated as part of the sting were caught taking monetary kickbacks on both audio and video.

They are facing potential felony charges as a result of allegations that they paid for referrals from individuals with access to car accident reports, such as auto repair shop employees and recovery truck drivers. These individuals were paid anywhere from $500 to $1,500 for each client that they referred to them to make fraudulent insurance claims.

These referrals were used to make fraudulent motor vehicle tort and personal injury protection claims with two different medical practices, both of which are no longer in operation. One of the defendants allegedly had a fee-splitting agreement with these practices in which the settlement funds of some of his clients were diverted.

While this was a few year back, this sleazeball filed over 1000 lawsuits against small businesses for ADA violations

It became so egregious that other lawyers couldn't ignore it and he was disbarred.
