I should invest, get really really rich, not kidding.
MJ should have never been lumped in with Cocaine, hell it is far less damaging than Alcohol or Tobacco, and not addictive any more than peanut brittle. It has been a long battle but the day is coming that the entire US will have it either legal or decriminalized, I prefer the later because you can grow your own.

The ETF 'MJ' is up about 300% from it's low.
When it's listed on a Stock Exchange, you know it's all just a matter of time.

Think about it, Look at most of the President and VP's over the last 50 or so years, it seems to be a trend to appoint someone as VP that no one in their right mind would want running the Nation, so it is a deterrent of sorts, the opposition Party realizes that if they remove the President the VP steps up and that would often be their worst nightmare. True it does not Always work and sometimes the VP is not all that bad, or if the President actually turns out to be the worse choice then the other Party will do all in their power to remove the President. I see it as a Political insurance policy, so when you see people say Biden is waaay too old and feeble and should step down remember what they are actually wishing for. Not to mention that if the VP does step up to the Oval Office They get to pick their VP, can you imagine who Harris would pick, maybe AOC......
As the saying goes:
Be careful what you wish for, You just might get it.
Thanks for taking the time to reply... I'm not "wishing" for him to step down...nor have I seen it discussed and I'm not sure who "you people" are...;) Just praying for our country to get through this somehow....
Sadly the whole situation is already a pretty bad nightmare... just a US mess (not all Joe's fault, of course)... K and A would make it our worst....;)
We've got lots of work to do....
You're retired too, aren't you? Any special "projects"?
Have a great Sunday....Be well....

Come on up to Michigan! It is legal here; we can grow our own.

Nothing personal, but I had my fill of cold weather.

Fortunately for those of us who prefer living in uncrowded places, so do most people. Since the pandemic began though, the real estate market -- especially for unimproved acreage -- is really booming up here. Guess ppl are looking to get out of densely-packed areas where you're more likely to catch the virus.

There has been exodus from the cities for years now, I moved out here around 12 years ago and love it, but it is a lot of work to maintain it all. Yes I think the virus will get more people moving out of the cities, some will make it others will end moving back.

Where are you, generally speaking?

Rural area of Collin County, Texas.

Uncrowded and peaceful, right? My brothers moved to Texas decades ago. The younger one lived outside Floresville, near San Antonio; he passed in 1999. The other lives in Richardson. They both love(d) the warm weather and outdoor recreation. How did you fare during the Big Freeze?

I can take the heat far better than the cold, spent many of my early years in West Texas, it is home for me no matter where in I am, any time I travel outside the State when I return the second I cross the border I know I am back in my own country, Fine, I have three generators, two mobile and one fixed whole house generator, and some limited solar power generation capability, ended up loaning one of the mobile generators to a neighbor when his died. Went through a lot of fuel to keep things running, we were without grid power for three straight days. We were under a boil water mandate for a couple of days, but I always keep plenty of bottled water and I have several water purifiers so boing was not needed.
