Don't gimme any crap about how poor people need a balanced diet. As it is these snappers spend all this money on junk food. A diet of staples will be better for them. And MUCH cheaper for the taxpayers. Eating just those 4 staples, a person can live on a dollar a day.

The list of what a food stamp recipient can buy should be strictly limited and damn sure shouldn't include the ability to buy soft drinks, chips, and the like from convenient stores.

It also should be much more regulated. If someone can afford to buy beer and cigarettes with money in their pocket, they damn sure don't need food stamps.

Yup and working americans have been saying that for decades but nothing is done. I hope trump acts on this. His party controls both houses of congress and will soon control the SC and now is the time to set america straight.
 
They should allow beer, wine and liquor too.

In an employer/employee relationship, the employer dictates what the employee does because the employer is doing the paying. It should be the same with things like food stamps. If the freeloaders getting them don't like it, they have two options. Stop demanding someone else do for them one of the basics in life they should be doing for themselves or tough shit. If they ask, they accept that someone forced to support them gets to say what they do.

A simple Google search shows that within my State, the ONLY blue district gets far more than any of the red ones. In fact, that ONLY blue district, one purposely gerrymandered to make sure a minority would get elected by creating it with a minority majority, is the ONLY one in the State that has a greater than 20% food stamp use. Seems that freeloading blue district makes the reds ones look bad.
