So, Mo… Have you done any running before?

How can anybody be so clueless?

Britain's double Olympic champion Mo Farah won the New Orleans half marathon at the weekend, setting a course record of one hour 59 seconds after holding off Ethiopian Gebre Gebremariam in a sprint finish. It marked another successful step for the Olympic 5,000m and 10,000m champion, who decided after London 2012 to move up to the marathon in time for Rio 2016.

But one person who didn't really pick up on the significance of the win was the local TV news anchorwoman. In fact, it was pretty clear that she didn't have the slightest idea who she was talking to. The excruciating interview has now gone viral on the web, immortalising perhaps the most unusual interview of Farah's stellar career.

No wonder we have so many low information voters. The "news" person is completely ignorant.
They will report anything they're told without the slightest critical thought.

"Haven't you run before?" That's just classic I doubt she will ever live that down. MO is a very self effacing and gentle chap, he didn't want to humiliate her by saying "Don't you know who I am?"

Incredible! Americans aren't stupid Americans aren't stupid Americans aren't stupid. Keep repeating.

She's bad at her job to be sure. Just shows us how standards have fallen. As always, I blame the lack of personal responibility.

Her job is to anchor and interview. If she doesnt even ask 'Who am I going to interview?' She is stupid.

I posted a picture of MO doing the Mobot shortly after the Olympics and Grind didn't have a clue who he was either and he's never even been to Noo Yawlins.

One of the best kept secrets of all time is that the Olympic Games are not just an American event. But hey, why should we let on?

Maybe New Orleans should apply for the Games, they could hold the high jump at the Dude's gated community. Isn't it supremely ironic that the pocket sized tough guy hides behind such high gates?

They'd have a great swimming pool if they let the water in again.
