Panetta: CIA Misled Congress For a Number of Years

It's kind of funny, isn't it? We seem to get more transparency out of the CIA director than we do out of the president:

WASHINGTON -- Central Intelligence Agency Director Leon E. Panetta has told lawmakers that CIA officials misled Congress "for a number of years" since 2001, according to a letter released Wednesday from seven Democratic lawmakers.

Pelosi has nothing whatsoever to do with the CIA misleading Congress.

What he said was exactly what Pelosi said, but that's the extent of it.

The CIA misled Congress.

Who is surprised?

I'd like to know what program they're talking about, but we're never going to know unless someone leaks it.

It was a lie of omission. The CIA was required by LAW to report ongoing operations. They didn't, for years. This is a crime and whoever ordered the operation concealed should be prosecuted, no matter how high up the chain they go.
