trump cancelled the debates. That is just reality. he can say whatever he wants, but he cannot change that reality.
If trump un-cancels the debates, then maybe Biden might cancel the debates.... But probably not. The fact is that trump has made no effort to un-cancel the debates.
Kennedy is nowhere near the level to get into the debates.
There is a reason trump cancelled the debates, and that is because he, and everyone around him, knows that he would lose... Just like last time.

While I agree the Democrats might be concerned about Biden's performance in a debate, the Republicans should be more worried about Trump proving he's a raging nutjob who belongs in prison.

Yep. Trump's debate style is equivalent to a middle schooler coming on stage, shouting 'poopy pants' at his opponent, and then dropping his pants and taking a shit on the stage. Why would anyone, much less a guy who is his intellectual superior, bother to dignify that behavior by appearing on stage with him. And what's to debate? Trump will say 'FUCK NATO', and his cult will cheer and applaud. Trump will say 'immigrants are poisoning the blood of the country!!', and they will cheer and clap like trained seals. How is that meaningful or helpful in any way, shape or form? It isn't.

Agreed, but as Damo keeps pointing out, if Biden doesn't explain why he doesn't accept a debate, then it makes him look weak, afraid and/or in fear of looking incompetent.
Simply pointing out Trump's behavior, as you have, and his reply to the question is enough. Everyone knows Trump is a boorish, uncouth bully. More people need to say so.

Agreed, but I haven't seen any suggestions of the rules. Pointing out Trump's aberrant, crude behavior and requesting strict, fair rules is reasonable. Biden needs to put the ball in Trump's court by stating these rules and watch Trump refuse them.
I agree. Bottom line, Trump is not even the nominee yet, and neither is Biden. There are MONTHS between now and debate season. It is the height of hypocrisy to suggest Biden is 'afraid' when all he has done is suggest there have to be parameters. When Trump skipped out on the Republican debates, I don't recall Damo saying he was scared, and I didn't decide to put words in his mouth like he felt was necessary with me. Funny how that works, isn't it?

Yep, and this is of course why the whole 'Biden is afraid' trope is such a joke. When Trump dodged the Republican debates, his supporters all said 'why waste his time on stage with a loser'. When Biden just SUGGESTS that there be some parameters, all of a sudden he's afraid to debate. Actually, they got it right the first time. Why would Biden waste his time on stage with a loser.
