It has not backfired, only in the world of MAGA. The rest of us noted the hypocrisy.

For anyone...disgusting and shameful... Very thankfully that little boy will probably never realize that they shunned him To take a shot at the president... He was thrilled.. so we're all of the other honorees... Even the ones who knew what was happening or know now... It's very sad to see people supporting them with the full knowledge of what they were doing...
 
The left looked a bit like they were in a scene on that movie "Get Out"... Holding up their paddles, bidding...
