The reason we have things like "pride" month are because the LGBTQ community has been made to feel like they are "less" or even evil by so many, every day, for their entire existence. I don't think some understand what some of their lives are like, & being subject to hate, bullying and discrimination on a regular basis.

Life is hard enough. We need to support each other - not find ways to ostracize good people, and put hate out into the world for no reason.

It goes even beyond that for me.

If you are a person who can see how a person who was born straight might just 'decide' to be gay, it almost certainly means you are gay or on the Bisexual spectrum somewhere.

That is not a bad nor is it meant as an insult, as i am sure many uptight righties might take it or think.

But if you are born soley straight or solely gay, you simply cannot make your self be attracted to the other. It does not work that. And if you are born that way you will KNOW that to be true. If you are born on the Bisexual scale somewhere, then it absolutely would make sense to you that people 'could' switch, even if you would never act on your urges, or thoughts that you 'might' or 'could'.

This is true. I imagine that the vast majority of prison inmates are straight, whether male or female. Yet when forced into a same sex situation like prison, rapes and even consensual encounters occur, esp. among males -- higher sex drive? But when they get out, they revert to their straight "lifestyle." Even being forced into a same sex situation doesn't change their basic orientation.

But it IS as sin. Being a homosexual isn't a sin but acts of homosexuality are no different than infidelity in marriage, murder, lying stealing etc etc. You can whine all you like, and you certainly do, but it doesnt change what is.
