I have a difficult time relating to the notion that your woman/wife should get angry if you look. I don't openly stare out of respect for my wife and the woman I'm looking at, but the notion that my wife will get mad if she sees me .. my question is why would anyone marry a woman like that? I wouldn't.

That's insecurity .. not love .. not friendship .. THE most important element in marriage.
 
If your spouse gets mad because you are looking, you have a seriously insecure spouse.

Well, can you answer honestly if your wife asks "does this [article of clothing] make me look fat?" Even if the answer is yes, you probably understand that so many women can be very insecure about certain things, just as men are frequently insecure about appearing somehow emasculated (i.e. I can do it myself, don't comfort me when I'm injured, I'm not lost unless I say I'm lost, I should be the one supporting this family/couple, etc.)...

I can honestly say that if my wife asks if an article of clothing makes her look fat, and I believe that it does, I'll say yeah baby, that makes you look fat. In fact, without her asking I can tell her she's putting on weight if I think she is .. and she has no problem telling me. We're friends, and it's not about insecurity, it's about making sure we stay healthy.

Because we're friends and lovers as well as being married, we don't have insecurity issues. We want each other to be happy and we both recognize that neither of us can be everything to the other. That's a fairy-tale.

I encourage her to do, go, and be everything she wants to be in life and I help her do it. She does the same for me.

I recognize that everyone who gets married aren't really friends .. and that's the problem.

I have always drilled my children with never marry someone who haven't had sex with, even the girls, and never marry someone who isn't your best friend.

Thank you brother .. but I truly believe we should get rid of the notion that sex is somehow "godly." If you marry someone you haven't had sex with you're rolling the dice with your life.

My daughters having sex when they became of age was far less scary than them getting pregnant or getting married so they can have sex.

When of age, protect yourself, have sex, and enjoy.
