something to check out if....

I want to own everything. Let me explain this to you as calmly as I can. In case you haven't noticed, this country is f'd. We are in a war with no end in sight, we have a huge problem with health care that kills so many Americans each year that if the same amount were killed by terrorists, we would be under martial law, we have an historic gap between the rich and the poor that is growing, we have millions more living in poverty, we have stagnated real wages for the middle class, we have a middle class drowning in debt having rode for years on second and third mortgages due to rising home values; that party's over and those chickens are coming home to roost, we have federal appellate courts stacked with out of the mainstream right wingers, we have a Supreme court handing down decisions that will hurt the consumer, the laborer and all common people, we have an environmental crisis...

I am not a huge fan of one-party rule, but I understand, and clearly so, what it's going to take in order to start to undo the damage that has been wrought. And that is a swing to the left. "Democrats" in and of themselves are not the left, but among them, there will be left and populist voices, combined with the base of their party, which can and will pressure the DLC types to MOVE THEIR ASSES.

It will take years. And for those years, I will vote Dem across the board, with no apologies, and no shame.

f'ing brilliant. right on

 :gpow: :usflag:

Right. If only we had nominated Joe Lieberman! lol

would not have made any difference to those of which we speak Darla, he still had a D beside his name then. It would have been "at least I did not vote for lieberman".

If Jesus had been running against Bush it would have been the same line :)
It is not a matter of who Bush's opponent was , it is a matter of blind partisanship and unquestioning loyalty to party.
