So instead you support a bunch of chickenhawks? Ron Paul is about the only candidate that served our nation in the military (John McCain was a traitor). And I have no doubt that he would strongly DEFEND our nation.

John was a fighter pilot who was shot down in VN...and Hunter was a infantry Lt. both were decorated...and what was RP again...oh yeah he was a OB MD,who served during the VN era as a flight Surgeon statewide..and a OB to the wives...nice try numbnuts..!I am not dishing RP's service just you as a moron!

John McCain was a decorated pilot that was shot down over vietnam and spent time in one of the worse prisoner of war camps in modern history. How dare you call him a Traitor. You aren't fit to carry the mans shit to a cathole with your teeth.

Such a comment was absolutely unwarranted. John McCain showed unmistakable bravery in Vietnam.

WTC happened because from the late 80's until 2001 the military and the intel agencies became enamored with Satelites that can read a license plate from space (which is great if you expect the invasion to come by way of automobile) and sloughed off HUMINT. The reason it has NOT happened again here is because we completely revamped our intel gathering agencies and went back to real live human intel. We read website and we listen to radio and phone conversations. As has been pointed out to you that march without bending knees, we overthrew a secular dictator in Iraq who was provding very little in the way of support for Islamist terrorists. But you can go ahead and keep thinking that the war in Iraq is what has kept the terrorists from attacking the US again if you want. If it makes you sleep better.

My GF's dad was in Nam 2x and he does not use the term Vietnam ERA veteran. That means ANYONE in the army at the time the vietnam war was going on. Vietnam Veteran means I served in Vietnam or perhaps Laos and Cambodia. But I had a friend whose dad played Basketball in the army in 1968-69 and he too was a Vietnam ERA Veteran.

I use the term Viet Nam Era Vet...because I only served 6months in Country...I do not feel I have the right to say VN Vet...most served 12months or more...and I was not a Mechanic...like you inferred...I have already covered what I did in Nam on many threads in the past...not going down this road again with you...!

That's correct.

And it's very common for the phonys to switch those. We had a woman hanging around the peace movement who was claiming to be a Desert Storm vet. It finally came out that she was in Germany the whole time.

My friends in VFP said, that makes her a Desert Storm Era vet...and the real war veterans really do not like those things being conflated.
