You demand an action from government. It is you who has an agenda to make the government behave in a certain way, to place force on entities whom you are envious of. That makes it you who views the government as a force to be prostituted, and not the libertarians.

I would prefer corporations not sell us out and create a one way trade imbalance / money suck that will destroy the american worker. When your precious "free trade" turns out to be a system of destruction, and the "rising tide raises all ships" dogma is proven to be a lie, people have no other recourse than government. the treachery of the business world is forcing people to the side of government.

the government is supposed to see to the general welfare, and it used to with sensible trade policy. Abandoning sensible trade policy and allowing slave labor into the international labor pool is when government became the whore.

I would prefer corporations cater to my every whim and desire, but its not my assets and property, so I don't get to decide. If you want an alternative business model, then its your job to go out and start your own business, or to support entrepreneurs who will do it in your stead. Also, you can petition the government to create its own corporations and engage them in protective trade.

there are known problems with perpetual trade imbalances. Im not just making shit up.

The government is shirking it's duty under the constitution to promote the general welfare of the citizenry, and is instead, just doing what their corporate paymasters want them to do. It's called corruption, negligence, and treason.

The preamble to the constitution is not legally binding. Furthermore, your perception of the general welfare (which is a decidedly Marxist attitude) does not trump people's natural rights to liberty and property.

The preamble is legally binding.

It is the government's job to set trade policy which allows it's citizens to flourish.

Im not a socialist. I just believe the governments is tasked to set a trade policy where more than just ceos of multinationals and bankers can flourish.

Setting a trade policy is not marxism.

i am not a socialist. I do not believe i redistributing wealth. I believe in our right to choose trade relationships which benefit the country, instead of destroying it.

Grow up, Asshate. No one considers it appropriate to establish the kind of trade restrictions that you have in mind. Tariffs and revenue bills are not dictates on private enterprise, which is obviously why you don't consider them to be good enough.
