When the economy is good it doesn’t mean it’s good everywhere. When the economy is in recession there are people/groups that do very well. It’s the nature of the beast
Lol, not only that, but a few people lining up for free stuff, is no way to gauge an economy. None of the people in that picture look like they are starving to death or anyting. And how are we to know that picture is even what it claims to be? I call BS
Welcome to life. I had to leave New Orleans for better opportunity. I know many in N.O. who could easily do much better for themselves but stayed. It's very provincial there. At least we, including indians, have that choice. Stay in a shithole or leave for better opportunity. The same is true in a lot of places. Take Appalachia, e.g. All they have to do is get off the meth, get an education, be willing to work and get out of there and the opportunity is for those that seek it.I've visited some Indian Reservations in America where people are living in poverty.
If you grow up on a reservation, you are miles away from most opportunities. You pretty much have to leave your family, go seek a continuing education somewhere far away, and don't ever go back. If you love your family, that's not easy to do sometimes.
Stop there and you've made an excellent post.I don't think
This stark photo taken this week in Knoxville tells a very different story about the economy

Yup thanks to Libs ...A lot of parts in LA are not much different than third world countries!

You were doing great up to this point.
You know you can always argue mine or anyone's point!
But, your argument falls flat, if you don't offer a counterpoint- and just disagree for the sake of arguing!
I remember reading a book about Timothy McVeigh and it saying how disillusioned he was to have been in the army with all kinds of badges and awards, he got out and he could only find work at a Burger King. That's the problem with being in the military - learn a special skill, make a career out of it, or else you're delaying life.Another large sector of poverty, believe it or not, are the war veterans returning home from the war on terrorism. Many of these veterans return home, and fall right back into poverty, and struggle to find opportunities back home.

My niece's husband had that. He was Special Forces in the Iraqi debacle. I have no doubt he murdered innocent Iraqis. He wasn't right for a long time - no special skills, didn't integrate too well. He's OK now but it took some time.I think a lot of vets are falling under the "Personality Disorder" category as they try to adjust back into their civilian status. It is a larger problem than what we have imagined.

And that explains why these citizens have fallen through the cracks of the Affordable Care Act? Why do left wing radicals.....minorities by MAJORITY.....always invoke the ad hominem insult when they can't defend the propaganda they have presented by PASTING some left wing blogers opinion? Are you that stupid and inarticulate that you can't defend your positions void of posting the ideas of others? Perhaps the elite New England plantation owners are correct. You can't live void of someone looking after you in the inner city left wing plantations.
