You know once upon a time there was a surgeon general that told people that perhaps we should teach kids about masturbation, and the whole right wing world was up in arms. Oh dear god not masturbation. They'll go BLIND! But part of that would also be that it is ok to get eachother off manually rather than risking pregnancy and std's. But the right wing solution has always been. JUST SAY NO. Sex is a VERY strong urge. In the 50's kids were told that premarital sex was gonna get you sent to hell. That didn't stop them. If an eternity in a firey pit of hell doesn't scare you then we have to come up with resonable solutions. No one has ever had to encourage teens to have sex.Just say no
Abstinence
God and morality
None of that bullshit works
American teens are having sex and that is unlikely to change living in an atmosphere where sex is everywhere to be found all over American media.
Solutions to this problem must start from that reality, not from from Victorian fairy-tale that does not exist.
********* If you see them there I would guess they are seen just about everywhere.

He swings again and misses again.
They are national commercials and they play in the Bible Belt too.
what channels ? Just MTV and such ? they sure are not on the channels I watch.
I know what I know and am trying to figure out why you know something else.
I wonder if that is the reason. I have never seen glass cabinets used for something that cheap. I would be rather ashamed (and would imagine most people anywhere would be) to buy lice protection, hemorrhoid cream, yeast infection stuff (well, if I were a female), all the garbage that is supposed to increase your libido, erectile function or size, and most of that stuff is not behind a counter. Most of it is more costly as well.
Well I doubt there are condom commercials on Hallmark or Lifetime, but the viewers of those channels are people like yourself who likely have little use for condoms.
They appear on channels geared primarily towards young adults, as they should.
Well, I looked it up and it does seem to be common in some stores. Walgreens and Rite Aid make it a policy to stock them on the shelf and CVS is working on some sort of theft deterrent display that will leave them accessible.
I have honestly never seen that, except maybe at convenience stores.
We should be focusing on ways to make kids less embarassed about buying condoms. The manufacturers and sellers would have an obvious stake in that. Maybe they can be tapped for some funding.
ahh and since the youth do not watch SCIFI or history or nature channels or movie channels.
Or my local broadcast channels apparently.
Just curious does MTV run viagra commercials or the like ?
HEALTHCARE IS THE ONLY ANSWER
Calling for more condoms is looking for the cheap way out.
To teen pregnancy and STVs?

My guess would be that your community doesnt have enough sex to make it commerically viable for Trojan to advertise on your local channels.
